Danna’s riding journey began in middle school on a little quarter horse named MoJo. What began with taking MoJo to a local 4-H show grew into summers at camp, pony club adventures, and even fox hunts. High school brought a growing passion for dressage, and she continued riding in college - though graduation meant selling her competition horse. Life’s busyness kept her away for a while, but as her youngest child approached high school graduation, she returned to the barn, embracing the joy of riding once again. For Danna, the most meaningful moments aren’t just in the saddle - they’re in the community around it. She reflects fondly on the dedication of parents supporting their young riders, remembering the special time spent with her own “show mom” and the bonds built through shared sacrifice. Halliea nominated Danna both for being a genuinely joyful presence and for always being willing to lend a helping hand when needed.
