Sarah's GWIF story began with a birthday wish! For her 8th birthday in 2018, Sarah asked to ride a horse, and a little research led her mom straight to GWIF. What started as a birthday celebration quickly turned into group lessons and a regular place in the saddle. Check out the pic below of that first birthday ride! Although Sarah took a short break to explore other sports, her desire to ride never went away. She's now happily back in the saddle twice a week and finding plenty of ways to stay involved beyond her lessons. Her favorite horse is Delta, whom she appreciates for being so easy to work with, and some of her favorite memories come from barn shows. Looking ahead, she's focused on continuing to improve her jumping! David nominated Sarah for Rider of the Week because of her positive attitude, willingness to challenge herself, and the support she gives to her fellow riders. Sarah understands that not every ride will be perfect and that there's always something to learn from the less-than-perfect ones. She's also been stepping up to ride more challenging horses and consistently giving each one her best effort. Sarah's contributions don't stop when her lesson ends. Whether volunteering at camps, helping with lessons, or pitching in wherever an extra set of hands is needed around the barn, Sarah is always willing to help. She regularly comes out on weekends to lend a hand and is always one of the first to cheer on her teammates. Congratulations, Sarah!
