🌟 GWIF Riders Shine at GDCTA Gala 🌟

What a night! Our GWIF program was proudly represented at this past weekend’s Georgia Dressage & Combined Training Association Gala. Riders were honored with awards and letterman jackets across a wide range of both schooling and recognized eventing levels.

While we certainly celebrate the ribbons and recognition, we are most proud of the effort behind them: the early mornings, the meticulously cared-for horses, the perseverance through challenging rides, and the steady commitment to learning and growing. These honors reflect not just success in competition, but the strength of our program and the horsemanship of our riders. 💜💜

Weekly Barn Tip: Lost & Found Deadline

🔎 Missing Something? 🔍

Our Lost & Found bin has officially reached capacity. It’s currently home to an impressive collection of items—all patiently waiting to be claimed. If you’ve been wondering where that favorite hoodie, helmet, or water bottle disappeared to, now is the time to investigate.  HINT:  Some items even have names on them!  🤭

Please take a look before March 1st. Any items left behind after that date will be cleared out to make room for the next round of forgotten treasures.  Don’t know where the Lost & Found is? Check out the white bin sitting on the cubbies in the breezeway (pictured above).

Rider of the Week: June Steber

June joined the GWIF community in the summer of 2025. In that short time, she’s become a familiar face at the barn—always ready to ride, learn, and lend a hand.  Her favorite lesson horse is Marty, whom she loves for his speed and especially his fun, forward canter.

Some of her favorite GWIF memories include the friendships she’s made along the way and her time at summer camp, where she earned the Junior Counselor in Training award. This summer, she’s excited to return to camp and continue to help support younger riders.

June’s goals at GWIF include continuing to ride twice a week, progressing to higher jumps, and eventually leasing.

June was nominated by her trainer, Wren, who described her as being incredibly coachable. June listens closely, applies feedback consistently, and adapts her riding to the needs of different horses.  We’re proud to recognize June as this week’s Rider of the Week and look forward to watching her continue to grow both in and out of the saddle!
