Alice’s first horse memory goes back to when she was 6 years old, riding a tiny Shetland pony on a trail - a moment that sparked her lifelong love for horses. From then until now, she’s been taking riding lessons in France every Summer, eventually wanting something closer to home. That path led her to GWIF three years ago.
Since joining GWIF, Alice has grown into a more confident, competitive, and dedicated rider. She enjoys riding her favorite horses, Justin, Legend, and especially Pilgrim, with whom she won her first shows. Some of her favorite memories with GWIF include spending time with her friends and the horses both at the barn and at shows, where the supportive community makes every moment special. Looking ahead, Alice hopes to continue developing her skills with the goal of reaching the beginner novice level by next year. Wren nominated Alice and shared that she is consistently mature and teachable as a rider. Alice is calm and unflappable in the saddle, even when the moment might justify a different reaction. Barn friends agree that Alice also stands out as one of the kindest individuals in the GWIF community. She encourages others at all times and contributes a consistently positive presence.
