Katherine is now in her third year of riding with GWIF and currently trains with Meg. Her favorite lesson ponies are Petey and Cricket, and she especially loves the thrill of jumping and the sense of freedom that riding brings. One of her favorite GWIF memories is from a rainy summer lesson when her group got the rare chance to jump bareback! Looking ahead, Katherine has set an exciting goal of participating in her first show. Meg nominated Katherine and shared: “Katherine has grown so much in her riding in the last six months! She has really honed in on her position in the saddle and has developed a confidence to ride any horse she is assigned the best she can. She has a contagiously fun attitude in lessons and has evolved into a leader for the groups that she rides with. I’m looking forward to seeing Katherine grow in her riding more over the next year!” Congratulations, Katherine, for being selected as our Rider of the Week!
