At just 8 years old, Raegan began her riding journey as a Beginner Camper at our John’s Creek campus. From that very first camp, her dedication to riding grew quickly - progressing from weekly lessons, to twice a week, and eventually into leasing. Over the years, she has enjoyed partnerships with Scout, 💜 Bob 💜, Kirby, Legend (twice!), and her current partner, Kory. While partnering with Legend, Raegan developed him from having never competed in a USEA event to reaching the top of the USEA leaderboard and winning an Area 3 Championship. Summer Camp is not only where Raegan got her start, but also where she grew into a leader. Across nearly a decade, she has served GWIF as a Champ Camper, Counselor-in-Training, Junior Counselor, and most recently, Head Camp Counselor. Now, in her senior year of high school, Raegan has stepped into a new role as a beginner rider instructor on the GWIF teaching staff. Her favorite GWIF memory so far? Winning the Area 3 Junior Beginner Novice Championship in Ocala with Legend this past summer! Looking ahead, she and Kory are preparing for an exciting milestone - competing at Tryon International in September in their first recognized Novice-level event. Halliea nominated Raegan for representing the full arc of the GWIF experience. She is a shining example of the young camper who can grow into accomplished rider, instructor, and role model - making the most of every opportunity while gaining invaluable skills in horsemanship, leadership, and teamwork.
